JOB DESCRIPTION
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of the Infra Workshare Team and in close collaboration with the Team Lead and other members of the project team, your work could be, but not limited to:
- Assisting in projects from conceptual till execution design of civil constructions.
- Use of software Scia, Plaxis 2D and Deltares D-Sheet-Piling.
- Preparing and production of all the required details, such as detailing of joints, reinforcement, …
- Coordination of draftsmen
- Quality check of all the deliverables.
- Calculation of quantities
- Implementation of Sweco and client specifications & procedures.
- You can work independently on the assignments
- Proactive and communicative
- Manage and/or archive files/documents according to internal procedures
- Assisting and if needed training of team members.
- Other duties upon request
- Willing to travel to Belgium for training or projects if required.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering / Geotechnical / Transport & Communication or relevant majors with a least 2-3 years of experience in calculation of various civil constructions (conceptual till execution)
- Good English in speaking and writing. Knowledge of French language is a plus.
- Good knowledge of underground constructions regarding soil pressure, design of pile foundations, knowledge of calculation related with settlements and uplifting of constructions.
- Experience with settlement calculations due to lowering of the groundwater table.
- Working experience with Eurocode
- Knowledge of Software Plaxis 2D and Scia Engineer
- Having experience with Deltares D-Sheet Piling is a plus
- A candidate Proactive and communicative and able to work independently on the assignments
- Good command of MS Office applications
